Question: Where do you meet for the tours?

Answer: Meet at our marina located behind the DAYS INN RESORT in Crystal River, 2380 NW Hwy. 19, Crystal River, FL 34428.

Question: What time are the tours?

Answer: The morning tour meets at 7:30am, leaving around 8:00am and returning around 11:30am. The second tour meets at 11:00am leaving around 11:30am and returning around 4:00pm. NOTE: Special times can be arranged for Private Tours. Call for details.

Question: What do we bring on the tour?

Answer:You will need to bring a towel for each person, swim suit and possibly a light jacket or sweatshirt for the return trip to the resort's marina. You may also want to bring your digital camera for the wildlife we may see along the way. It's OK, if you don't have a camera, you can rent a digital camera from our gift shop.

Question: What kind of boats are they?

Answer: We have many boats for different sized groups. Some boats hold 6 passengers, one holds 10 passengers and one holds 27 passengers.

Question: Do I need a reservation?

Answer:Yes. Reservations are required and can be made with a credit card along with name, address and phone number. Call us toll-free at 1-877-GO-DIVIN or make your reservations online at our site (click Shop Online link).

Question: What is your cancellation policy?

Answer: All trips are reserved with a credit card. We require seven (7) days notification if you wish to cancel a tour. We reserve the right to charge you for the entire tour on short notice cancellation (within 7 days). All cancellations will be charged a 20% cancellation fee.

Question: Why will I be charged a fee for cancelling?

Answer: Our cancellation policies and fees are consistent with those imposed by airlines, car rental companies, and hotels. Because our fees are determined by space reserved on our boats, we require a minimum of seven (7) days notice to cancel in an effort to fill the spot cancelled.

Question: Can you rent the equipment needed to snorkel with the manatees?

Answer: Yes. We have a full line of wetsuits to fit 4 years old to adult sizes (to 350lbs). We also have masks, fins, snorkels and personal flotation vests. Scuba rental is also available for those individuals booked with us.

Question:  Are there hot showers available?

Answer: We do have hot showers available. If you book a room at one of our resorts you can arrange for a semi late check out to shower and put on clean clothes before you depart the resort. All of our Manatee snorkeling tours leave from our marinas located at the resorts. Therefore, you are returned to the resort to finalize your stay.

Question: Are there bathrooms on the boats?

Answer: Most boats are equipped with bathroom facilities. Some of our 6 passenger boats do not. These boats have marina access on the river and can dock for public bathroom use as needed. Anyone with special bathroom requirements should notify one of our representatives when booking a tour.

Question: Captains Association for tour Captains?

Answer: Some Manatee tour operators have implemented a Tour Captains Association among themselves to help monitor their tour Captains to insure there is no Manatee Harassment. Most Manatee Tour operators (such as ourselves) do not agree with this type of behavior. Our Manatee tour Captains run our Manatee tours because they love and respect the Manatees, "it's not just a job to us" it's our life and each of our Captains and guides know the limits to Manatee harassment on their own and don't need someone to remind them every day.
